Great news!!!! The U.S. Government has issued Class Deviation 2018-O0013 increasing the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) from $150K to $250K for Department of Defense (DOD) acquisitions of supplies and services. This Class Deviation supersedes the previous deviation 2017-O0007.
This is REALLY REALLY REALLY good for both small business AND government agencies.
Other unique changes from this Class Deviation are:
- Micro-Purchase threshold for DOD maintained at $5K except:
- $10K for DOD basic research
- $10K for higher education
- Defense against or recovery from cyber, nuclear, biological, chemical of radiological attacks
- $20K inside the U.S. (CONUS)
- $30K outside the U.S. (OCONUS)
- SAT Threshold for:
- $250K for DOD Supplies and Services
- Defense against or recovery from cyber, nuclear, biological, chemical of radiological attacks
- $750K inside the U.S. (CONUS)
- $1.5M for outside the U.S. (OCONUS)
- Humanitarian or peacekeeping awarded or performed outside the U.S. (OCONUS)
